Tazito (Taz) Garcia is a Canadian based award winning actor and director who embarked on his acting and filmmaking journey at a very young age.
The Briefcase (2011) was Garcia's big-screen debut in Hollywood, as the director, writer and star of the film. It earned Taz several nominations and awards, notably the "Breakout Male Action Star"(2013) at the AOF International Film Festival in Los Angeles . Since then he has appeared in countless productions internationally including action/comedy First Bust (2015) earning him the title of "Male Action Performer of The Year"(2015), and Lost in the Pacific (2016), one of the largest Hollywood/China co-productions. Garcia was the sole Canadian actor selected to join the international cast alongside Brandon Routh- Superman Returns, Russell Wong- Romeo Must Die, and the Vincent Ward -Walking Dead.
Garcia's continual devotion and unsurpassed passion for film has recently been recognized as the youngest recipient of the "Icon Award" (2016) presented by the legendary Dr. Bob Goldman and Michael DePasquale Jr. in Los Angeles. As a pro athlete, Garcia prides himself in performing all his own action scenes and stunts.
Additionally, Garcia enjoys engaging in various seminars sharing his 20+ years of martial arts expertise and stunts knowledge. His experiences include collaborations with the Jackie Chan stunt team, Ace Stunt Action, as well as innumerable others worldwide.
This martial arts champion is also a great supporter of countless charities that include The Sick Kids hospital, Support for Cancer treatment, and Jackie Chan's Dragon's heart "Build a School for a Dollar Program". Taz's goal is to always strive for self improvement and continue being a positive role model for young generations.
